Megan Green

Registered Dietitian and Director of Nutrition at Launch My Health

Megan is our nutrition aficionado and reads nutrition books for fun (for real). Professionally, she is a registered dietitian and has additional training through the Institute for Functional Medicine. With over a decade of experience as a dietitian, Megan is passionate about helping people discover the power of food to enhance their wellbeing and prevent or manage chronic disease. Whether assisting clients with learning how to eat mindfully, improve their gut health or metabolic health, manage an autoimmune disease, lose weight, or something else, she always brings a positive approach to food. Megan loves to learn and has fun challenging herself to try new recipes - even when it doesn’t turn out! More recently, Megan has enjoyed learning how to golf and downhill ski.

FAQ

  • What are your nutrition programs based on?

Launch My Health was founded on the principle that food can be one of the most powerful medicines we have. Our nutrition & culinary programming is evidence-based and includes a whole fresh foods approach with an emphasis on a positive mindset and celebrating food. We believe flexible eating styles are more sustainable than diets that are restrictive, and we work to guide you in simple ways you can enjoy eating this way.

  • Who are these programs NOT recommended for?

All nutrition programs are not meant for anyone under the age of 18, under the care of a physician for cancer treatment or another serious medical condition, pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive. If you are unsure, consult with your physician first before beginning.

  • I have a food allergy/sensitivity and/or follow a specific diet. Will I be able to participate?

Yes! All our recipes have options to be modified to fit a Dairy-free, Gluten-free, and/or Low-FODMAP eating style. Plus, you’ll find many excellent vegetarian, pescatarian, and vegan options. The cooking courses are focused on honing your cooking skills. So, if you don’t like, or can’t eat an ingredient, you can swap it out for something that works for you. You’re in control.

  • How long does it take to complete the nutrition programs?

All nutrition programs are self-paced and can be completed to work with your schedule. We recommend completing them within 5-8 weeks. The curriculum is divided into sections, and each section includes videos and homework with goals to implement between sessions.

  • How long will I have access to this program?

You will have access to the program as long as it is offered by UHG, although re-enrollment may be required after three months at no cost. Your spot will be saved and you can resume the course where you left off. Program workbooks and recipes can be downloaded for your personal use.

  • Who do I contact if I am having issues?

Please contact, [email protected] for questions or concerns about your UHG benefits. Please contact the Launch Team at [email protected] for questions about course content.
